"She glides into view, as if cutting through water, sleek, shimmering, statuesque" - Bec & Bridge, Chromolux 2013
Bec & Bridge's Chromolux runway show caught my attention tonight after a friend shared these photographs. The collection draws inspiration from the sea with a fishscale print that recurs through the designs and the incorporation of soft colours and fluid lines.
Fashion aside, it is the transfer of the collection's concept to the execution of the runway show that blew me away.
See above how the fluorescent lights are structured to look like fish bones? Pretty cool, right? It gets cooler...
Check out below how the light translates when viewed from the front. Each ensemble is backlit with a halo glow that reflects from the lighting above and the glossy floors below.
My head has been deep in project work recently designing my end of year exhibition stand. I have always known inspiration can be found anywhere and today I'm inspired by Bec & Bridge's seamless connection between what is being showcased (the collection) and how it is showcased.
