Over the next 12 days leading up to Christmas I have invited friends and people I am inspired by to share a few words. Today is Day 2.
She is a Sydney girl who launched Table Tonic - the online home wares store and blog. Prior to that she was the Creative Director for Cosmopolitan, Dolly and Cleo magazines. Louise Bell is one of those absolutely all round lovely people. Add her on Twitter and you'll see what I mean!
On the Table Tonic blog, Louise regularly reviews books and so I asked her:
What are your top picks for design / decorating books to give (or read ourselves) this holiday season?
If I could, I would give ALL of these fabulous new Aussie releases to my loved ones.
70/80/90: Iconic Australian Houses (rrp $79.99) by Karen McCartney
INTERIORS Australia and New Zealand by Mitchell Oakley Smith
Interiors by Martyn Thompson
In particular, I thoroughly enjoyed Karen McCartney's 50/60/70 and found the behind-the-scenes/history of the stunning architecture shown, to be a fascinating read.
Thank you, Louise! Great picks - and I have to also agree with 50/60/70. I'm still in the process of reading it myself and loving the history of the homes. It's a must read, especially if you love Australian architecture.
